Saturday on the 31st of October 2009 at 1900z, i.e. 21.00 local time, there is ham radio net activity on 29.610 Mhz and mode is FM. Most of the active players in this net locate on the west coast of Finland, however, thus probably too far from Estonia. Also the mode (F3E) will resticts the span were the skip conditions poor (that is why I prefer CW or A1A on 10/12 meters)

Also on the same day (the 31st of October 2009) but one hour earlier, i.e. 1800z or 20.00 local time begins the more or less traditional CB-Radio AM-net on CB-channel 4. I assume this net has more active players on Finnish southern coast and those signals could probably reach Estonia in normal conditions

In Finland there is a SSB sked (perhaps SSB net, more likely) next Saturday, i.e. tomorrow on the 7th of November 2009 at 1800z (20.00 local) on CB channel 4.

Although most of the palyers on this net are probably from the central and western part of the country, there is relatively high probability that some SSB signals can reach Estonia and vice versa. And most certainly the net activity will raise some stations from the southern part of the country as well, e.g. one SSB station from Kouvola has promised to activate his neighbourhood.

Unfortunately I have promised to warm up my sauna at that time of the evening and cannot play on that net at all. Instead I have planned some CB activity for Sunday and I shall have some field testing with this half-wave wire antenna

Despite this is a CB-antenna it can be loaded on 10m band too, at least on the CW-part of that. This is done by simply bending the wire backwards thus effectively shortening the radiator.
